Pick-up time for “Marmaris Village Tour” is about 9:00 – 9:30 a.m & takes place Tuesdays, Fridays & Sundays – Return is at about 17:00 p.m.

1 – You will be picked-up from your hotel:

At about 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. you will be picked-up from your hotel by minibus. You will meet your tour guide. Once everybody that is joining the tour picked up we will head to the first village “Bayir Village“.

2 – Driving to the “Bayir Village” and spend some time there:

It will take about 30 minutes to arrive to “Bayir Village”. The ride will be very scenic through the country roads. Along the way you will see some village houses and village people, some sheep and cows.

Once you arrive to “Bayir Village” you will spend some time there and visit a few places. First visit will be to the little mosque in Bayir. Imam ( the priest ) will welcome you to the mosque with a smile and your tour guide will explain to you the traditions and rituals of the muslim religion. You have to take your shoes off when entering to the mosque.

The main focus point in “Bayir Village” is the 2000 years old plane tree, and it is located just outside the mosques in the village center. Underneath the ancient tree there is a local cafe and village people that sells honey. When you go outside the mosque, go ahead and taste some real, local honey.

While in “Bayir Village”, if schools are open, we can get lucky and go visit the little village school and meet village kids at school.

3 – The next village is “Turgut Village” :

Once you are done exploring “Bayir Village” you will head to the next village “Turgut Village”. This is where you will have lunch too (included in your trip price), in an very authentic, real Turkish village restaurant. In “Turgut Village” there is an 300 years old watermill and also a waterfall. Marmaris Jeep safari tour also stops at this waterfall for swimming.

After lunch you will be welcomed and hosted by a real local Turkish village family – in their typical, traditional village house – for some tea. Apple tea and Oregano tea are so popular here. Those teas are so healthy… Enjoy!

Before ending the excursion, you will stop at the “Orhaniye Village”. You will have  chance to see “Kizkumu” beach and have some fresh air. You can swim if you like. “Kizkumu” is famous with its sand-bar in the water on which you can walk on. It will look like you are walking on the water.

4 – The End of the day & Returning back to Marmaris:

Once done at the “Orhaniye Beach” we will get back to Marmaris, which will take about 20 minutes or so, and you will be dropped-off back to your hotel.
